Monika did her doctoral and first postdoctoral research on chondrocyte protein expression using proteomic techniques. Since September 2004 she is appointed at the rheumatology research laboratory to study expression of citrullinated proteins in rheumatoid arthritis and in lung from smokers and non-smokers.
She has extensive experience of two-dimensional electrophoresis and various protein purification methods.
