Åsa Wheelock performed her doctoral and post-doctoral research in lung proteomics at the University of California, USA and Kyoto University, Japan, respectively. Besides investigating alterations in the respiratory proteomes in response to various pneumotoxicants and inflammatory lung diseases, she also has a long standing interest in the field of gel-based quantitative proteomics.
